This is my second entry (i hope) to the  Madmen-Asylum   The Longest Night Contest

 You know that lucid phase you go through were you are not awake but you know you are dreaming, imagine that you have a nightmare during that phase, but knowing it's a nightmare doesn't make it feel any less real.   
 Nights can be very long, and sunset leave you filled with dread because you know it's not just the night sky which is going to get dark, but your thoughts as there's no escape from the night or (eventually) your dreams.  This image came from having spent an almost sleepless night, last night, just as I fell asleep I had a nightmare, 2 images from that nightmare have stuck with me  13 O'Clock Triskaidekamania/Triskaidekaphobia, and this one:

Of a rag doll I think being dismembered, the shadow of a pair of scissors looming over the doll waiting to strike (I have a feeling the rag doll was me as I could feel as the button eye being taken off)   with these words echoing around this image:

  Answers on a postcard please on your thoughts over this, as I am more rebellious then religious. Maybe my subconscious is telling me it's time to grow up?   Naaaaa too much mischief still to be had me thinks  
I was trying to decide whether to call this image Unlucky or Lucky 13, but the kids come down whilst I was drawing it and by the time I had finished it, they had nicknamed her Insanity Raynes, (so proud of them coming up with this play on 'Reign's') after my joining  Madmen-Asylum  the other day. Not sure if the idea for the look of this doll came from a mix of Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and a 2 head doll I still have up in the loft from when I was a kid. 
So it seems that I have a new OC  A new image of 13 as a Mermaid
